This land was previously part of a peanut farm and, in the 1970s, became the home of the Derick G.S. Davis Community Center. This destination offers a wide range of athletic equipment, including baseball and softball fields, basketball courts, and tennis courts. Additionally, there are walking trails and picnic areas for individuals who are looking for a great place to enjoy the beautiful weather. Like the MLK Community Center, the Derick G.S. Davis Community Center offers an after school program. The center has two multi-purpose rooms, a room for arts and crafts, a computer room, and a kitchen to accommodate the program.
