Carolina Beach

Carolina Beach is a family-oriented setting in New Hanover County, North Carolina. Carolina Beach is best known for its surfing, fishing, and beautiful white sand shores. The beach is a great spot for sunning and enjoying some time with family and the water is inviting. Other activities on Carolina Beach include a boardwalk that is packed with games, restaurants, and shops that are sure to please everyone in the family. Bald Head Island

Located in Brunswick County, North Carolina is another beautiful beach called Bald Head Island. Conveniently located near the lovely city of Wilmington, Bald Head Island is more a remote location than other beaches in the area. You can only set foot on Bald Head Island by way of ferry from Southport. Because the beach is not accessible by car, it is left untouched by pollution and remains pristinely beautiful. Many sea turtles can be spotted from the shores and Cape Fear is a long piece of shoreline for sunbathers to enjoy. There is also a lighthouse on the island called “Old Baldy.” The lighthouse just happens to be the oldest lighthouse in the state.

Kure Beach

Kure Beach is a vibrant beach full of bright and colorful houses and palm trees. Kure Beach is located in New Hanover County, North Carolina and its white sand shores are a beautiful sight. Kure Beach not only offers beautiful scenery and a relaxing beach atmosphere, but also houses a little piece of history. Fort Fisher, active during the Civil War, is located at Kure Beach and is a favorite among history lovers. Kure Beach also offers a golf course, surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing and an aquarium the kids are sure to love. Combine that with the shops and restaurants available to visitors to Kure Beach and you will find yourself falling in love with this one of a kind area.
