Wade Park has ample parking space for visitors, as well as restroom facilities that are highly appreciated by the park’s patrons. With one playground, plenty of open space, shelters, and picnic areas, this is a fantastic destination for families looking to spend the day enjoying the beautiful weather. Empie Park

Another one of the larger parks in Wilmington, Empie Park is located at 3405 Park Avenue and covers 33 acres. A fantastic destination for individuals who want to be active and enjoy the outdoors, this park offers parking, restroom facilities, water fountains, two play units, an all children’s playground, and eight tennis courts. Additionally, it features open space, shelters, picnic areas, concession stands, basketball courts, athletic fields, and lighted facilities. With two different bike racks, a water source, and regular maintenance, this is a wonderful place to engage in virtually any activity, from biking to reading to running to simply spending time in the sun.
